Royal Victoria Hospital, Folkestone, provides a range of outpatient services.
It is also home to the Folkestone Walk-In Centre, which treats minor injuries and illnesses.
The hospital is set to benefit from a major refurbishment, bringing its facilities up-to-date. The old Victorian building that forms part of the hospital will be sold. This is because the building has not been used for inpatient wards for over a year and is costing the Trust £1.2 million a year to own, maintain, clean and heat; money that could be better spent on patient care.
All services currently provided at the hospital will remain.
East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals serving a local population of around 720,500 people.
We also provide many health services from other NHS facilities across East Kent including Child and Adolescent Mental Health services, and renal services in Medway and Maidstone.
Our motto is patients first - everything we do is guided by this.
